The course skill I will be demonstrating is: Problem Solving
What you will do
To demonstrate developing my problem solving ability I will be applying the programming skills I have learned in this course and transfer that into solving bioinformatics problems using python. I want to be able to transfer these skills to different problems using the website Rosalind.
I have a passion for bioinformatics and learning more and more about how to solve different bioinformatics problems. But as I have learned throughout Computing 1 so far, my problem solving skills as well as programming skills can always be improved. So that is what I want to do.
Criteria for credit
baseline - for credit level:
- effective problem solving strategies applied to bioinformatics problems
- reach at least 50% towards level 2^6 by the end of week 13
- solve at least one problem every week
additional factors - look for:
- evidence of improved problem solving (overall lower average for the number of submissions per problem)
- evidence of testing used in the problem solving process on most/all of my programs
- reaching level 2^6 by the end of week 13
- earning awesome badges :)
